DESIGN MANAGER

We are a small, very established (36 years) Point of Purchase Display company in Elmsford, NY seeking a motivated, detail-oriented candidate as Project Design Manager to create all graphic elements and technical specifications needed for our many retail display projects. Clients include Fortune 500 consumer package goods companies with well-known national brands. The work is fast paced, based on promotional themes and timelines. (Sweepstakes, Holidays, New Product Launches, etc.)

 

Required background skills: Mac Computer literate with working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign. Candidate will also be required to work in 2-D Cad (Graphite) for component specification drawings and 3-d Drawing program (Form Z) for assembly views and renderings, for which training can be provided.

 

Candidate must be able to work independently from a challenging schedule on multiple projects, and balance all projects at various stages at any given point.  Candidate should be a problem solver, who can analyze potential problems and suggest solutions to avoid those problems before they occur.  Candidate must be comfortable with and able to manage an often-changing set of project specifications.  Candidate must be very organized, energetic, with a can-do attitude.

 

Typical responsibilities include creation of 3-D drawings, part drawings, assembly instructions, and prototypes (cut and mocked up for presentations, usually in corrugated cardboard), and inserting finished art into deadlines.
