Job Overview:
ATMI is seeking a seasoned Marketing Director to lead a $75 million P&L consisting of several dopant gas product lines for ion implantation. The person chosen for this role will have tremendous visibility within the company as well asl manage all resources in marketing, R&D, and applications engineering. The position is located in Danbury, CT, reporting directly to ATMI?s Director of Gas Operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong sales background, with expertise in sales channel management, a technical background, and experience in product management through the entire product lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

? Define product marketing strategies and roadmaps;
? Manage sales forecasting and direct account sales;
? Build domestic and international distributor relationships ;
? Accountable for implementing stage-gate new product introduction process;
? Responsible for managing R&D and engineering expenditures;
? Perform customer presentations on a world-wide basis.

Education/Experience:

? In order to understand the technology we are involved with you must have a BS or higher degree in either engineering, science or related technical fields;
? An MBA or business degree is a strong plus in order to make the complex business decisions required for the group (pricing, distribution, financial investment);
? Minimum of 10 years in a sales or marketing management role;
? Working experience managing a P&L a strong plus;
? Working experience with ion implantation or dopant gases is a strong plus.
? Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills;
? Ability to travel 25%, both domestic and internationally;
