DIRECTOR, MARKETING - REAL ESTATE
Playground Destination Properties (www.playground.com) is in the business of marketing and selling luxury resort real estate for parent company Intrawest (www.intrawest.com) and other premier resort developers. POSITION OVERVIEW
Director, Marketing oversees the strategy, direction and implementation of all marketing initiatives within a region.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and lead implementation of marketing strategiesDevelop strategy: creates and directs implementationDevelop and oversee all marketing initiatives and strategy (launch, tempo & resale) throughout the Mobilize Phase (keeper of the Sales and Marketing Strategy Document)Perform relevant strategic / performance reviews and debrief throughout the Execute PhaseDirect regional and resort PR programs & campaigns (work with MPM to follow through with execution)Lead Strategy Sessions and Creative SessionsDevelop and oversee homeowner loyalty programs Monthly review / adaptations to strategy (see through until implementation)Ensure quality design, compliance and creative for marketing materialEnsure checklists for marketing templates are complete and in complianceDevelop and oversee project positioning and branding and work with MPM to ensure consistent execution across all marketing channels

Provide leadership to marketing department and teamRecruit, train, orient and lead MPM and DMS and provide mentorshipEnsure adherence to The Playground WayCreate, track and oversee resort marketing budget (work with MPM to ensure marketing budget is monitored and accurately managed) Ensure legal compliance on all marketing collateral Work with MPM to ensure Integrated Project Plan is set up and maintained for each project
Ensure effective project management methodologies Ensure project team meet all deadlines as per project timelineEnsure developer meets all deadlines and deliverablesEnsure legal meets all deadlines and deliverablesEscalating and resolving all issues and delays
Build effective relationships across Playground and with strategic partnersDevelop and foster authentic relationships with Strategic Partners (envisioning, advertising, PR, event suppliers) and development partner - participate in weekly meetings / callsEstablish a transfer of knowledge / experience between resorts and regions Proactively share insights with project team to challenge strategy and increase sales Support Business Development activitiesWork with MI on innovative idea?s to increase salesWork with MI on quality and content of strategyMonitor checklist for compliance ? legal & regulatory

QUALIFICATIONS
? University degree in Marketing, Communication or Business required
? Minimum 3 years experience in the real estate or related resort/amenity community environment in a marketing capacity or minimum 5 years in a relevant marketing environment strongly preferred
? Minimum 5 years in a management/leadership capacity required
? Minimum 3 years in managing multiple projects and teams required
? Accomplished at managing change and implementation of new ideas
? Desired qualification: minimum 2 years of advertising/marketing services agency experience in client services
? Desired qualification: 2 years experience in any of: customer intelligence / market research / database marketing / campaign analysis
? Must be able to travel - up to 25% - to project sites, meetings, etc.
? Must possess or be able to obtain a passport
