Job Description:

Position Purpose

Develop long and short term strategy, business development and market planning by working with Division Presidents, Merchandising Vice Presidents & Regional Vice Presidents. Oversee divisional and regional analyses to address under performing, slow start and new store/markets and special competitive situations. Leverage knowledge of markets and other resources to educate Divisional leadership on markets, marketing tools and analyses.



Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities


Gain first-hand knowledge & understanding of markets & stores through travel Presidents, MVPs & RVPs.

Develop Regional market strategy to and oversee execution through marketing Supervisors and Division Teams.

Collaborate with National leadership teams (Public Relations/Community Affairs, Internal Control, Signage, Pro & Agencies) to ensure accurate/on-time implementation and communication of all programs.

Oversee/Responsible for multi-million dollar budget to implement all regional Marketing and Advertising initiatives and strategies.

Leverage national media (ROP, Credit, Promotions, Radio, Signage) to attack unique market problems and opportunities as they arise.



Nature and Scope


Typically reports to Regional Marketing Director.

Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.



Environmental Job Requirements


Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.




Minimum Qualifications


Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must pass the Drug Test.

Must pass the Background Check.

Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.



Education Required

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a
bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Job Requirements


Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is
frequent opportunity to move about.

On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.



Preferred Qualifications


Retail Marketing experience.

Budget management.

Retail Print Production experience.

Regional Market Knowledge.

Agency Account/Project Management a plus.
