Data Intelligence Analyst

Overall Purpose:
The Data Intelligence Analyst will work integrally with media and account teams to support data analysis for the advancement of client business. The analyst is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reports are delivered to the media teams for all analysis through the development and support of automated systems. Working under the direction of Data Intelligence strategists, communications planning and account teams, the analyst will deliver models and tools to allow for insightful media analysis, customer analysis and business forecasting. The analyst will develop and maintain automated reports for clients based upon priorities defined by DI, Media and Media Operations, while keeping the account teams updated on deliverables proactively.
The Analyst will support media teams to develop and execute reporting and analysis. Focusing on reporting automation, he/she will develop and maintain reporting for media/account teams to be regularly delivered to clients. The Analyst will be tasked with developing reporting in Access and or Excel while supporting the development of a larger proprietary database/reporting solution driven by the Data Intelligence and Media teams.
The Analyst will participate in internal account team and media team meetings to explain and recommend views of data analytics conducted by Carat. Frequently, the Analyst will be required to support database analysis for the CRM team and other Carat organizations including Carat Direct and Carat USA. He/she is responsible for coordination between account management, the media department and CRM team to ensure analytical projects are effectively delivered on time and within budgeted scope. To be successful, this individual must be highly analytical, have a proven track record in data-rich analysis, and be a team player, a doer, responsive and business savvy.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
? Participation in media and account meetings to receive direction on areas of focus by client.
? Ongoing media analysis support including modification and maintenance of Excel macro-driven worksheets and development within Access databases to ensure regular updates to templates supporting timely and accurate delivery to clients.
? Coordination of client data handoff to Carat for analysis and integration into reporting.
? Participation within account teams through presentation of key findings and recommended additional views of data based upon data analysis and team objectives.
? Database development as required for clients to incorporate acquisition, retention and site raw data for the purposes of efforts.
? Assistance as inter-agency resource for data management systems, reporting tools, media serving systems and site tracking systems
? Active participation with media team through attendance of regular team meetings voicing trends, issues and best practices seen across clients to aid in standardization of analysis.
? Work with media team and account teams to promote closed-loop marketing from acquisition through retention including review of media analysis for recommendations to client and media team on tracking and systems to maximize returns on media efforts.
Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree and 2 years in marketing data, business analysis, or related analytics field High-level proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and AccessExperience in advertising, marketing, or CRM environment preferredAbility to execute tactically while understanding strategic impactsMust be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environmentProven ability to efficiently manage and implement quick-turnaround, tactical projectsAbility to explain analytical outcomes in business termsUnderstanding of SAS, SPSS, SQL Server and/or other analytical tools preferred.Understanding of relational database architecture preferredExperience in a digital agency or web consultancy helpful but not essential
