Dir, Analysis and Strategy
We are currently seeking a Director level Analytics professional to lead the e-Dialog Analysis and Strategy team. This individual will be responsible for thought leadership, planning, implementation, and presentation around the use of data analytics to optimize interactive and database marketing, primarily around email. This individual will be creating the way email and other advanced marketing approaches are defined, measured, and optimized.
Job Responsibilities will include the following:
Act as a strategic consultant to internal account teams and external senior-level clients around development & optimization of marketing programs through multichannel strategies
Lead and manage analytic team of 3 members US, 1 EU.
Develop and implement various types of predictive models, testing strategies, segmentation strategies and other techniques and processes of utilizing date to refine and optimize cross-channel marketing, with a strong focus on interactive and email campaigns, both B2C and B2B
Lead analytic group in exploiting data in an effort to promote growth and business development including guidance and participation in new business development
Determine and implement operations procedures and lead analytic group in the management of projects and resources
Cultivate solid relationships with staff, internal partners and clients.
Experience/Background
Requirements:
Masters Degree (in a research oriented social science such as psychology, mathematic, or advanced statistics desirable; MBA may be substituted) AND a minimum of 5+ years experience (7?10+ years preferred) in Database Marketing or Interactive Marketing; 3+ years leadership experience at senior level with direct reports and P&L line responsibility
Experience with strategic planning and implementation of data-driven marketing initiatives, including planning, scoping, leading, and presenting results with recommendations.
Passionate and focused on analytic, business, and marketing concepts and methodologies and able to speak with credibility and conviction.
C-Level communication and presentation skills
Experience having written and presented large scale analysis proposals, directly analyzed large data sources using quantitative methods (ie., segmentation analysis, predictive modeling, etc.) for customer acquisition and retention purposes, and presented findings and recommendations to a business audience of senior leaders.
Experience with Oracle and/or SQL preferred
Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in SAS or SPSS, as well as other business intelligence tools, with special focus on model development, test analysis, and custom data mining
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous complex projects
Previous titles may have include areas such as Interactive Marketing, Database Marketing, Online Marketing Strategic Consulting, and/or Marketing Technology Consulting
Experience at companies like Digitas, Epsilon, Merkle, BeNow, etc. preferred
Experience with traditional research methodologies (surveys, etc.) helpful
Strong understanding of web technology and database technology helpful, but not necessary Travel up to 20%
