With the headquarters for TiVo being located in Alviso, California, this position will be located in Alviso or New York.

Responsibilities:

' Advance the company's brand and awareness initiatives as well as support TiVo subscriber acquisition goals.
' Ensure consistency of messaging by closely coordinating with the broader marketing team, investor relations, advertising and creative services, executive management, customers, product/sales groups and partners.
' Ensure TiVo's public relations strategy is fully integrated with overall marketing plans, including product and service launches. Build and manage a PR budget.
' Lead efforts to positively influence the consumer via media placements, endorsements, grass-roots marketing and buzz-worthy outreach. Create innovative PR campaigns and programs that generate media pick-up, build awareness and drive a positive image
' Manage strategic and day-to-day media relations. Work with reporters from consumer, technical, broadcast and entertainment media outlets. Apply media relations as a strategic resource to impact TiVo's consumer positioning, brand visibility, and sales
' Supervise agency resources, press tours and conferences, press releases, product reviews and strategic media development

' At least ten years of professional experience, leading public relations for an entertainment or lifestyle-focused consumer brand. A combination of agency and corporate experience is preferred but not essential
' Recent experience demonstrating a hands-on approach to managing all facets
' A strong track record in planning and executing PR programs aimed at multiple audiences in a complex and dynamic business environment, with consumer positioning, product launches, brand identity, product perception and partner programs
' Experience in developing media campaigns and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple media relations programs concurrently
' Strong multi-tasking and project management skills (organized and self-starting) and the ability to effectively motivate other departments within the organization all to meet corporate objectives
' Possess a high-level of energy, creativity and sound business judgment
' Writing samples that demonstrate writing and editing abilities, creative talent, and which have been presented to internal and external groups of all sizes will be requested
