Director, Home Improvement

Job Description: Director, Home Improvement Disney Consumer Products works in concert with the world's most trusted brands for the development of magical Disney-branded products.

This position will lead business vision and strategic plan for the Global Home category in the Do It Yourself (DIY) distribution channel. Additionally this role will...

- Develop and present Global annual business plans and determine key objectives and priorities to insure project focus
- Manage account and channel plan development/strategy, execution and analysis
- Present high quality retail presentations that incorporate both Disney and licensees
- Drive-selling efforts within category teams to ensure planned wholesale revenue growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and models that are aligned with DCP initiatives
- Communicate retail strategies to category teams, licensees and retailers
- Utilize strong communication and presentation skills to raise the level of solution selling acumen within Disney as well as with Licensees
- Develop solid business relationships with key industry personnel, retailers, and industry professionals
- Negotiate and close major contracts with industry constituents
- Build strong team-oriented relationships with other DCP key business units and/or global partners that result in new business and/or cross-promotional opportunities


Education: BS in business related field

A minimum of 12 years experience in specific Home Decor and Improvement. An overall knowledge of the Home Decor industry are preferred. Proven leadership, team management experience and the ability to influence are essential. Excellent communication skills to include both written and verbal.
