opening for Director, Marketing Product Management in our Corporate Marketing

organization in Chattanooga, TN. This position will allow you to execute

marketing strategies, determine new product layout and drive marketing

communication activity.



 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

*Key contributor in the design and development of new/enhanced marketing

programs to support sales and persistency goals.

*Partner with products, pricing and distribution teams in providing timely and

effective development, coordination and implementation of integrated marketing

programs and activities.

*Effectively interacts with vendors, brokers, field personnel, home office

personnel and customers by proactively communicating relevant program

information, new and enhanced marketing program training, and changes in

program components.

*Directs marketing messages for products launches and marketing programs that

appeal to identified market segments and support corporate value propositions

as defined by market segmentation research.

*Oversees the execution of marketing program and marketing communication

projects - frequently managing large, complex, multi-dimensional initiatives

with significant corporate impact.

*Knows and understands distribution trend and sales process differences by

product and market segment and makes recommendations to effectively and

profitability market through defined channels.

*Determines key metrics to ensure program effectiveness and monitors and

reports on results.



 

Job Specifications:

 

*Strong leadership skills, including the ability to effectively partner,

problem solve and influence others.

* Proven ability to plan and execute marketing programs and marketing

communication plans and activities.

*Proficient at cultivating strong networks within the organization and at

delivering results through others not under their direct control.

* 5 to 10 years experience in advertising or marketing communications.

*Ability to develop strong relationships/credibility with multiple

constituents.

*Unique combination of problem solving, marketing communication and project

management skills and/or ability to develop these skills.

*Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal for various audience

size and product knowledge.

*Ability to professionally handle multi-dimensional projects in a changing

environment.

*Ability to work independently and proactively.

*Comfort level working with all levels of the organization with heavy emphasis

on field personnel and brokers.

* Proven leadership skills

*Must be a strategic thinker but able to execute at the tactical level.

*Attentive focus on delivering timely results and executing on plans and

initiatives for balanced top and bottom line results.
