Director Product Management
Summary of Responsibilities: Lead a team to manage the individual life Term product line. This would include both new product development and inforce management for the product line. Specifically this would involve developing and implementing a strategy for the product line.
The focus will be on delivering competitive products quickly to market that maximize profitable sales, delivering simple procedures making MetLife an easy place to do business, and implementing superior support maximizing MetLife?s value from the in-force block of business.
Principal Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of product development process (from Idea, through Launch)
Play lead product role for LPMG in promotion, marketing, training and communication for product line.
Manage all aspects of problem resolution, exception requests
Manage development and maintance of reporting for product line and recommend action
Drive efforts to improve the servicing of term portfolio, working through appropriate channels of management
Evaluate and Implement as necessary exchange programs, and other marketing programs for the line
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
Prior Life insurance industry product management experience is required (8-10 year, at least 2 of which in leadership capacity)
Must possess and demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills.
Must possess excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills for coordinating and monitoring deliverables and status.
Ability to analyze data/situations and make sound business decisions is required.
Ability to manage/influence without authority is required.
Term product knowledge, an understand the marketplace and be able to uniquely position products desired
