Director/Vice President of Marketing
Our client, a leading manufacturer of window coverings is looking for a Director/VP of Marketing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the product’s positioning, strategy, tactics and programs required to create interest, demand and recognition for the company. and drive revenue and operating margin growth in the company’s core business.
The Vice President of Marketing and his/her team (5 direct reports) will also be responsible for Branding, Product Marketing, Online Marketing, PR, Creative Services, Advertising and Events.
As part of the executive management team, this position will be involved in all business issues and marketing strategies relating to the operations of the company as well as the long term planning. This person will provide vision and leadership for future products.
The Vice President of Marketing will also work in collaboration with the VPs of Sales, Business Development and top management to drive new product and service initiatives into the sales channels to integrate new services and functionality into existing product offerings.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of creating integrated annual strategic and tactical marketing plan. Establishing, maintaining, and branding corporate and products value proposition. Work with Directors and Managers to build business plans and go to market programs. Conducting and analyzing market research and competitive analysis to determine risk and marketability of potential products and product features..
Developing direct marketing programs.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be well rounded in all aspects of marketing and sales methodology to customers within the window covering’s industry. Extensive knowledge of window covering markets, furniture, or other wood related industries such as flooring, cabinets or closets, pricing models, channels of distribution, home design trends, budgeting, advertising, statistics and analysis, direct marketing, planning skills, competitive strategies, event marketing, channel marketing, merchandising. Experience with a window coverings or related company along with a degree with advanced marketing degree preferred; at least 10 years industry specific experience in this field required. 20%-30% travel.
MUST have window coverings, furniture, or other wood related industries such as flooring, cabinets or closets experience
