Director of Account Planning

 

The Account Planning Director is concerned with identifying the consumer perspective. This insight provided by the planning department is invaluable in the development of communications.

 

Development and interpretation of information such as demographics, psychographics and other information compiled to paint a clear picture of who an advertiser is talking to when selling a particular brand, product or service is at the root of this position?s responsibility.

 

 

Being a Director of Account Planning means demonstrating the ability to manage an account with minimal support from above.  This means writing briefs, setting up and managing research projects, briefing teams, dealing independently with clients and ensuring that the voice of Brand Strategy is heard and understood by those who work with you.  You also need to demonstrate the ability to manage those who work for you.Brand
