Director of Americas Marketing

The Candidate will have the following profile:
They will have delivered marketing programs within an environment that has not relied on heavy funding of brand, and it is preferable that they are used to succeeding as the contender rather than the incumbent vendor. Successfully managed a cross-functional marketing team within a high growth IT environment. It is desirable, but not essential, that they have experience of the data networking market. Experience of the service provider market as either a target end-user or a channel is desirable. Able to operate with a broader perspective than their own team - including global and functional scope. Track record of partnering and adding value to senior managers within a sales organization. They will have run teams that have responsibility for creation, implementation and measurement of programs for lead creation in a high-end business-to business environment. They will have experience of developing marketing systems and infrastructure such as database and lead allocation tools. They will have run channel marketing programs: including loyalty and incentive programs and joint lead generation programs. They will have experience in 2-tier channel marketing. Strong people and interpersonal skills with responsibility for running a team of at least 15 people. Structured approach to budget management and prioritization. Program budget responsibility of $10M per year or more.
Key Objectives of the Role:
Build brand, preference and generate leads amongst targeted end-user segments. Create a motivated and capable channel through two-tier distribution and service providers. Create marketing strategy and execution plan for the Americas theatre. Manage budget and prioritization in line with marketing strategy. Recruit, retain, develop and motivate a world class marketing team. Partner with, and provide thought leadership to, the theatre sales organization. Contribute programs and systems improvement that will benefit the global marketing organization. This role reports to VP of WW Field Marketing. Willingness to travel and flexibility of working hours is essential.
