Director of Business Development
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and/or lead strategic planning and business development initiatives at the hospital, including physician recruitment and retention, management and implementation of projects, community outreach, business and governmental relations, product/service line development, grants development, service integration, master planning, sales functionality and corporate venturing. Prepare business plans including strategic assessments, option analysis, and financial projections. Develop and manage annual planning process for hospital leadership and Board level engagement.
Prepare environmental assessments, industry trend analyses; serve as corporate intelligence officer. Secure and analyze market and other data; develop implications/impact analyses. Present findings to various internal and external audiences. Work closely with the hospital?s leadership team in crafting competitive responses, proactive initiatives and innovative solutions to key challenges. Provide business development and project management support and expertise to managers and clinicians in an effort to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of such efforts. Assist the Vice President to develop core planning and development infrastructure and support functionality. As Strategic Planning and Business Development evolves, assume management and supervisory responsibility for a to be determined number of staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree, with a Masters Degree in a related field (business administration, public health) highly preferred. Minimum of 10 years working in health care management field, at least four of which have been in a hospital setting. Health insurance experience also desired. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.Eexperience developing financial projections and analyses. Ability to present complex quantitative information in a way that motivates decisions and action.At least three years of project development and management experience.Sstrong computer skills (Microsoft Office applications, business diagramming software and database management applications).Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage numerous priorities and tasks. Strong ability to meet deadlines and communicate project progress to constituent groups. Ability to effectively work with all levels of staff, management, physicians and members of the community in a professional and collegial manner. Excellent collaboration skills.
