Director of Customer Retention: bring customer service best practices to leading communications co!

As the third-largest cable provider in the nation, Cox Communications Inc. is noted for its high capacity, reliable broadband delivery network as well as its ability to provide superior customer service. Our regional operating system in Kansas and Arkansas is the fourth largest of 20 regions, and employs about 1,500 people serving some 450,000 subscribers.

As our Director of Customer Retention, you'll help shape this newly created, high profile position. Your mission will be to consolidate our customer retention efforts under a single, unified strategy to help ensure we maintain our competitive edge. We are one of the first regional systems within Cox Communications to implement a position of this type, and your "trailblazing" efforts will capture the attention of leaders throughout our organization. We'll reward your efforts with a competitive salary and an aggressive performance-based incentive plan.

To be a good fit for this position you'll have a bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (or equivalent experience; MBA preferred) and significant experience in sales, marketing, and/or finance (collections), ideally in high transaction sales environments. We're looking for a professional with the charisma and leadership skills to drive sustainable change, including the ability to sell ideas and influence director and manager-level individuals. You'll also need the ability to manage multiple market customers with complex marketing strategies and vertical product lines.
