Director of Design and Development

 

Hanover Accessories Inc. is a fast-paced, trend driven, private label company, who is looking for an addition to our talented Design Team.  Our products include; pet supplies, jewelry, hair care, and children?s products.  The new member of our team must have a strong understanding of design and fashion trends.

 

Experience needed:

First-hand experience with Asia manufacturing operations and process is a must.  Additional experience required for this job is; a formal design education and degree

Hands on design experience with trend based consumer products

Experience using Photoshop, Illustrator and MAC Platform OS

Experience with product costing, materials and sourcing

Experience managing a team of 3+, in addition to outside vendors and contractors

 

Responsibilities include;

Conceptualize unique, private label product executions to fit the parameters of private label clients

Conceptualize unique, product executions for our current branded product lines

Conceptualize ?blue sky? unique, products that can extend into new product categories

Design and develop unique packaging, merchandising, sales collateral, and marketing materials in both 2D and 3D executions

Define product specs (dimensions, performance, materials, etc.) that support the manufacturing process

Develop comprehensive product turnover packages to manufacturing including detailed product specs.

Work closely with manufacturing on approvals and modifications to ensure products meet design criteria while adhering to cost and schedule.

A high energy, multi-tasker, people and team oriented person with strong communication skills.  You should be able to mentally solve problems and have excellent project management skills.
