Director of Marketing-Carrier Ethernet Strategy

 

This person will be responsible for defining and executing on Juniper's Go-To-Market marketing plan for the Carrier Ethernet space. This will include the ability to define clearly Juniper's Strategy, differentiation and working closely with product managers, corporate strategy and other marketing organizations to position Juniper as a leader in Carrier Ethernet. The candidate will be responsible for managing cross functional teams to create solution definition, proposition, validation, go-to-market collateral around the Carrier Ethernet value proposition.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

a. Participate in strategic activity in defining, creating and executing on solutions in the Ethernet space.

 

b. Participate in solution introduction process deciding for example: partners, testing, validation, channels, life cycle management, system testing, and bundling services.

 

c. Lead solution launch into field sales, channel, customer, Press and Analysts.

 

d. Travel 20%-40%

 

Skills:

 

a. Understand service provider industry, trends, competitors and changing landscape in this business.

 

b. Understand the IP routing and Ethernet technologies exceptionally well

 

c. At least 10+ years experience in the telecommunications/networking industry in a service provider or supplier.

 

d.  Service Provider experience is a big plus

 

e. Marketing experience, planning, defining proposition, creating collateral, presenting.

 

f. Experience in working closely with internal organizations such as PLM, Engineering etc. and with external entities such as press, industry analysts, financial analysts and media.

 

g. Ideally an engineering undergraduate with a top-tier school MBA; Financial knowledge is a big plus.
