Director of Marketing - MOSFETS

With its strong portfolio of products and a proven history of superior support and logistics, the company is a preferred supplier of power components and systems to designers of computers, communications, consumer, and industrial systems throughout the world.

This business segment is growing fast and we are looking for a Marketing Director who can lead the charge. The Marketing Director is responsible for leading a team of marketing managers and product marketing engineers to define and execute business unit growth plans. The position is focused on developing an intimate understanding of the market, building value-added relationships with target customers, and working with a global team of Sales professionals and FAEs to expand business with new and existing customers.

Key Candidate Attributes:

- Strong technical and business background in the semiconductor industry. (MOSFET experience preferred.)
- Outstanding leadership skills, a strong sense of urgency and the drive to succeed in a highly competitive market.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to think tactically and strategically.
- A track record of proven success in marketing management positions, including the development and successful execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans.
- Proven ability to hire and develop marketing talent, on a global basis, including mentoring and developing high potential employees.

Position responsibilities:

Leadership

- Build and lead a global marketing team in the execution of segment strategies and tactical plans to achieve growth goals. Develop, coach, mentor talent.
- Develop market segment strategies and tactical plans in support of the BU strategy.
- Partner with the Corporate Global Sales Organization, FAEs, and regional marketing teams to achieve market penetration and revenue/profit goals.
- Build cooperative relationships with Regional Marketing, Manufacturing and Operations, and other Product Divisions.

P&L Responsibility

- Responsible for achieving revenue and profit goals.
- Develop pricing strategies to achieve market penetration and profit objectives.
- Develop revenue and unit volume forecasts based on market trends, customer input, etc.

New Product Development

- Identify and recommend new product development opportunities based on customer needs, market trends, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with target customers to share product and technology roadmaps and ensure consistency between internal development plans and customer needs.
- Develop and execute launch plans for new product introductions.

Market Knowledge / Experience

- Experience in marketing management, strategic business planning, and new product development. Power Management and MOSFET experience preferred.
- Intimate knowledge of the following market segments, including familiarity with relevant applications and key customers: Computing, Portables, Automotive and Industrial.

Experience: 10 - 15 years of demonstrated technical marketing and business success in a Power Management semiconductor business. Candidates should have a strong technical background in MOSFETs and at least 5 years experience leading a marketing organization. Direct competitor experience in MOSFETs is preferred.

Education: Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electrical Engineering. MBA in Marketing.
