Director of Marketing-Online media-looking to hire immediately!!!

Our client is actively looking to fill this position immediately. This position is the senior marketiing position at this division of the company and reports to the CMO in NYC. Due to the need to fill this position asap, they are strongly preferring local candidates but may consider a relocation for a stellar candidate.  







 

 

POSITION PURPOSE

 

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for creating and managing the customer acquisition, positioning and marketing efforts for the company's domain businesses.

 



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Creates and manages programs to drive key metrics in sales, business development and product groups. Writes copy for all communications pieces, including web site, newsletters and presentations. Creates compelling collateral to support business programs. Manages trade show attendance and budget. Creates and maintains marketing budget detail. Works with Chief Marketing Officer to manage external public relations agency.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related discipline required, MBA preferred.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

? Knowledge of media buying and selling is required.

? Incumbent should have a fascination and curiosity for 'what's next' in online media.

 

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Has at least 5 years of trade marketing experience, online media experience required.

SKILLS: Demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Has specific online media and customer acquisition experience.Understands and has experience with multiple online customer acquisition channels and can create and execute strategic plansIs a creative and strategic thinker with the ability to assess and implement ideas. Has a comfort level working in small, growing, fast paced start-up environment. Exhibits a high level of drive, discipline, organization and attention to detail. Is able to work independently but within  a team environmentHas exceptional writing skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:Ability to write concisely and effectively using industry specific terminology. Ability to set up trade show displays, including physical setup of tables and lifting boxes of promotional materials.
