The E-Commerce Assistant Channel Manager will be responsible for growing home equity line of credit and loan receivables, as well as first mortgages, sourced from the web. This position’s ultimate responsibility is to partner with the Channel Manager to grow this channel from $850MM in ‘05 to over $1B in ’06 in Home Equity, and to develop and launch a business to market first mortgages via the web. This may involve improving existing programs or developing a new paradigm for achieving maximum penetration. Along with the E-Commerce Channel Manager, the Assistant Channel Manager will have P&L and overall management responsibility for the Aggregator and Partner sub-channels and must create and manage a marketing and business plan to deliver an annual net income contribution target at or above ROEC hurdle. 

 

Key activities include:

?  Day to day management of Aggregator and Partner relationships, including development of online advertising campaigns.

?  Understanding and monitoring P and L for delivery of maximum Net Income for the business using all available “levers” product, price, promotion and place.

?  Working with Operations to ensure appropriate capacity and operational support in place.

?  Establishing and tracking ongoing channel / program metrics to evaluate the performance against target. Designs and executes regular incentives and programs as a result of analysis.

?  Leading and working closely with a cross-functional team including Finance, Operations, Underwriting, Legal and Customer Service. 

?  Preparing analyses and presenting results to senior management/peers to further develop the business.

?  Representing the CHE business in broader CLG / Global Consumer Group level cross-sell initiatives.






The candidate must have a proven track record in direct-to-consumer marketing and/or partnership marketing. He/she should possess strong multi-disciplinary approach to how programs impact the overall business.


 


Key position requirements include:


 


? Functional Expertise: 7+ years E-Commerce experience. Candidate should have experience using Webtrends/MIS/data to uncover issues and inform next steps in improving performance. Experience with Technology, the development of User Interface, banner advertising campaigns, and search engine placements is critical.


? Relationship Management: Experience managing partnerships and negotiating online deals.


? Analytics:  Proven ability to conduct the necessary analysis to frame the business problem and provide the basis for program strategy / execution. Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions on how to further develop the business.


? Financial Understanding: Experience with P and Ls, and an understanding of financial ramifications of programs to the overall business.


? Thought Leadership:  Synthesizes market and competitive data into compelling and defensible strategic insights.  Sells and guides strategy across business functions.


? Teamwork:  Experience managing large scale projects that crossover several disciplines (Marketing, Finance, Operations, Compliance). Ability to “sell” or gain buy-in across function or organization. Strong results orientation with "can-do" attitude. Strong ability to lead multi-functional teams toward goal.


? Customer Focus:  Proven ability to identify key customer needs and to develop marketing programs or products that meet those needs. Ability to develop effective marketing communications.


? Quality / Attention to Detail:  Maintains high standards of product, service and process quality.  Manages the business with attention to detail and data integrity.  Possesses good follow-up skills and manages projects to agreed upon timelines.


? Communications: Strong communication skills, with ability to convey ideas articulately to senior management both verbally and in writing.


? Efficiency: Ability to manage many different and often competing priorities to completion with efficiency and accuracy.


? Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word needed to perform various types of marketing analysis.
