Our full outside communications solution client is looking for a unique Editorial Director to lead their Editorial Team.  The perfect candidate will have experience with forming an Editorial Team and a start-up company mentality.  Looking for an Editorial Director with a Leadership by Example approach.  50% of the position will be focused on writing and editing and the other 50% on management and strategy.  This is an opportunity to build a departmental strategy and create the perfect "dream team".  Over several months, the Editorial Director role will expand and as the team grows, the Editorial Director will focus primarily on managing the department, the workflow, and developing the group. This is a great opportunity for an Editorial Director looking for a position where they ARE the voice of how the team is designed.  The atmosphere is casual (business attire if meeting with clients), very team oriented, and everyone impacts the bottom line.  In addition to the salary, additional compensation is awarded for anyone who brings in a new client or project!

- Excellent management and leadership skills with the ability to manage a variety of personalities and develop clear career paths and objectives for each member of the team

- Excellent time management, budget analysis and project management skills
- Must be able to understand business processes and how to form/develop an Editorial team
- Experience working within or around the health care industry preferred but not required
- Must have experience managing writers, developing their career. 
- 3+ years of outside agency experience is REQUIRED as well as experience in business to business communications. 
- Liberal Arts degree, English or Journalism Degree, Advertising degree with a concentration on copyediting. 
- Writing style should be based on "Chicago Manual of Style".

Samples of Work Required!
Samples of work should include 2 to 3 samples of varied marketing collateral pieces that you have developed, any messaging, speeches, key messages, content direction for a website, white paper or report.  Please, no personal essays, or published articles.
