Electronic Marketing Product Manager

Sigma-Aldrich is currently seeking an Electronic Marketing Product Manager at our headquarters located in St. Louis, MO. The Electronic Marketing Product Manager will develop, implement and coordinate electronic marketing strategy and programs as part of the overall business unit and marketing strategy working with the corporate Internet and MARCOM functions. This individual will be executing programs to stimulate the use of the web and drive the adoption of those systems through Product and Market Segment Managers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-Implement the use of the Internet to support the business unit marketing strategy and programs.
-Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of content that is relevant and valuable to customers and synchronized with the development of promotional campaigns.
-Identify business opportunities and cooperative ventures for electronic business and web based services based on customer need analysis, competitive analysis and commercial value, and facilitate the development/deployment of selected products or services.
-Work with corporate Internet Marketing in the development of customer-facing applications for the business unit web site and corporate web site as applicable to maximize customer utility while presenting an intuitive, and professional front.
-In concert with marketing team, develop the e-marketing and Web strategy for the business unit. Work with corporate Internet team to implement and provide guidance and support to Sigma-Aldrich brands and business units in the development of web-based functionality that meets each unit's requirements and integrates with key marketing initiatives.
-Work with corporate Internet marketing in the development of web-based functionality that meets corporate marketing requirements and integrates the content needs of the business unit.
-Provide routine feedback and metrics on success of e-marketing programs. Utilize these metrics and results to make recommendations to marketing on subsequent e-marketing programs. Create and maintain a customer advisory board to provide guidance as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-Education: BS in a Science related field with general knowledge of products and market required, MS or MBA desirable.
-Experience: Necessary - 2 years in a marketing-focused position working with web development issues
Necessary - 3 to 5 years in marketing program planning and program implementation
Desirable - 2 or more years in project management
-Essential and Critical Skills:
Team leadership, project management, strong written and verbal communication skills, customer-focused approach, ability to sell ideas and web concepts to others, coordination of multiple tasks.
-Knowledge:
Marketing strategy and planning, web-based graphic design and layout, business-to-business advertising and marketing, IT knowledge, including SAP, HTML, XML, JAVA, JAVASCRIPT, general PC software including Microsoft Office
