The Event Manager is the team lead in the planning and execution of trade shows and marketing events. The event manager has overall event budget and execution responsibility for multiple events per year.

 

Responsibilities include:

? Develop and Manage the event timeline to ensure ?on-time and under-budget? delivery

? Assign and manage responsibilities of the internal GPJ team

? Prepare event estimates and manages estimate/budget throughout the event execution and completion process, including post-event reconciliation and invoicing.

? Work closely with the GPJ team and client to determine specific needs for the event (venue, architecture, electrical, internet capabilities, telephones, food and beverage, special events, etc.)

? Communicate client requirements, goals and expectations to the creative and marketing team in order to develop event content and identity from concept through production

? Work with 3D design team to develop and recommend architectural solutions to meet client objectives

? Keep GPJ Project manager and client informed of the event progress and changes

? Work with client to ensure the right solutions for floor plan and graphics are chosen to meet the needs of the event

? Research creative solutions for special event themes and venues

? Travel as needed to manage vendors and labor on-site

? Conduct on-site audits of client activity

 

Position Requirements:

 

? Proficient in use of Windows environment, Lotus Notes, Lotus 123, Word Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, J.D. Edwards

? Minimum 5 years business-to-business Event Management/Trade Show experience.

? Work in fast-paced environment while simultaneously balancing multiple projects.

? This is an in-office position, located in our North Easton, Massachusetts office
