Events Coordinator

This position will serve as the primary interface point with the Marketing Account Manager, business owners and other

internal customers for all tradeshows and corporate events.  Will need effective project management skills to ensure timely and successful participation in all tradeshows. The ideal candidate will be responsible ensuring levels of efficiency, productivity, satisfaction and budget management for sales conferences, employee events, and advisory boards by coordinating with other members of the Marketing department staff and outsourced third party suppliers.  Think and act strategically in driving corporate planning around tradeshows and events as vehicles to enhance sales and build the company brand. Responsible for site inspection, site selection,  and negotiations  required for meetings, conferences and special events.  Coordinate and negotiation vendor services such as security, florist, theme events, linens, caterers, decorators, ground transportation, entertainment and area tours within budgetary constraints.  Work collaboratively with ESI corporate marketing staff to identify and implement best practices for events and tradeshows. Serve as a champion of our corporate brand while building brand awareness for the internal customer as well.  Lead by example in the Marketing department and assist in the development of other employees.  Candidate should have 5 to 7 years experience, knowledge of tradeshows and event planning,  including working effectively with internal staff and external vendors. Ability to develop and execute a marketing plan required. Excellent negotiating skills.  Strong analytical and presentation skills.  Excellent customer service.  Ablility to multi task, be detail oriented and have  able to prioritize work flow to meet deadlines. Industry knowledge is a plus.  Must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and outlook.  BA or BS required, MA/MS/MBA preferred. Certified Meeting Professional preferred.
