Marketing Communication Specialist for Events ? Schaumburg, Illinois


Omron Electronics LLC is looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist for Events (Trade Shows, Events, and Internal Communications).  This individual will be responsible for the planning coordination of all marketing communications programs all OEI trade shows, events, and internal communications. Production of the supporting collateral and logistics will be primarily outsourced, so good vendor relationships will be the key to success for this position. The Marketing Communications Specialist - Events will be required to develop effective communications strategy to build brand awareness at both trade shows, events, and internally in order to increase Omron?s overall brand awareness.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Marketing Communications Specialist - Events is responsible for the development and coordination of Marketing Communication trade shows, events, and internal communications materials for all OEI, but not limited to, Industrial Automation Business, Service Plus Drive Centers, and for the E-Channel. Fulfillment of the ?communications? strategy should focus heavily on outsourced collateral creation and on the utilization of logistics partners to minimize expenses and maximize the ease in which customers are able to obtain the necessary information on Omron and our products. 

 

Products categories include:

 Trade Shows ? All vertical trade shows and events to promote Industrial Automation Businesses.Internal Communications ? Company newsletters and executive announcements and presentations.

 

Additionally, the Marketing Communications Specialist ? Events will be responsible for content and branding initiatives related to Trade Shows with development, coordination and creation of Marketing Communication collaterals in the following areas:

 

?  Direct Mail

?  Advertisements

?  Trade Show Booths

?  FA Plaza displays

?  Promotional Materials (CD?s, flyers, mailers, etc.)

?  Permission Marketing (E-Marketing)Public Relations ActivitiesMaintaining the budget spending for Trade Shows 

 

REQUIREMENTS:A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field 3 to 6 years of progressively responsible experience in Marketing Communications experience in a company selling similar products in similar marketsKnowledge and a history of successful branding campaigns with high technology companies.Ability to travel 35% - to several trade shows per year & two national trips per year for kick-off meetings and Sales seminar events.
