FPA Product Marketing Manager - Automotive

Position Summary:

Responsible for worldwide product marketing activities for FPA product lines, with specific emphasis on the automotive/transportation industry, especially hybrid technology power conversion. Responsibilities include planning, delivery, management and assessment for assigned products. Will work with engineering to identify customer needs and propose viable FPA solutions in the marketplace.

Responsibilities:Identify, segment and quantify served and potential automotive markets for FPA products (includes competitive, economic and geopolitical factors; gathering and analyzing data on significant trends and innovations); and developing product roadmaps and marketing objectives,Identify & functionally specify economically and strategically viable products which satisfy customer/market requirements along with forecasting models which show economic value of product to Vicor (ROI, NPV, etc.). Ensure that other organizations within Vicor have the knowledge required to make proper decisions regarding implementation.Produce introduction plan for new products including positioning, product differentiation and market segmentation. Recommend national and international channel requirements. Define promotional objectives and sales collateral for new products. Develop product launch programs, product rollout programs and sales collateral. Responsible for accurate forecasting of owned product.Interact with and influence customers, sales and engineering to ensure effective achievement of product marketing and Company objectives. Responsible for accurate and frequent communications to all interested parties including sales and channel personnel regarding product issues, opportunities and information required for proper understanding to ensure highest customer satisfaction.

RequirementsBSEE with MBA in Marketing required5 ? 7 years experience as an electrical/electronic engineer3 ? 5 years product marketing experience in automotive/transportation industry Broad knowledge of related products/lines, competitors, technologies and applications within the automotive/transportation industry, in addition to a thorough understanding of marketing principles, theories and concepts.Knowledge of hybrid powertrain technology and existing commercial solutionsKnowledge of automotive design, performance and quality criteria Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to speak Japanese strongly preferredAbility to travel domestically and internationally
