Field Project Manager (Market Research)

Primary Function:

The main purpose of the Field Project Manager is to supervise the project process, provide good client service from the quoting stage of the project to the final deliverable and improve the working relationship between FI and Synovate Healthcare/external clients. The role will initially focus on US studies and global studies with a US component, but will likely expand to non-US markets. The Field Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects run on time, to specification, to budget and to the clients? satisfaction. As this is a new role it will be important for the Field Project Manager to help develop and support new processes, as well as to be comfortable working in an evolving business.



 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Project Management/Data Collection

Responsible for the collection of high quality data on time and on budget for use by FI clients. Source and assemble data collection providers/suppliers as necessary based on collection methodology (face-to-face, telephone, on-line). Monitor providers/suppliers performance and take tactical actions based on their adherence to plan. Report on project status, flag and communicate potential problems and propose swift solutions to client. Escalate issues as appropriate. Work with other FI offices as necessary to deliver maximum client value.

 



Project Management/Client Service

Responsible for the hands-on management of all US and US/global field projects, including, the delivery or projects to budget, to specification, to timeline and to maximum client satisfaction. Ensure all projects run efficiently, project management systems are adhered to, planning is comprehensive, communications are prompt and problem-solving is pro-active.



 

Quotations/Marketing

Provide quotations with regular follow up, maintain repeat business, and complete desk research as necessary. Financial Management/Analysis Create project budgets, make cost decisions and approve payment of all project-related expenditures in accordance with budget and margin targets. Monitor and analyze project costs in accordance with budget, revenue and margin, quickly flag areas of concern. Be cost conscious.

 



Requirements:

? Bachelor?s degree in a related field or equivalent in experience.

? Minimum of 3-5 years experience in project management in a market research/data collection environment (healthcare experience preferred).

? Experience with fieldwork costs and budgets.

? Experience with on-line data collection.

? Some client management experience.

? Methodical and organized. Must have the ability to multi-task and look after many varying types of project simultaneously

? Strong organizational skills.

? Ability to encourage and motivate external data collection providers/suppliers.

? Excellent communication skills. The skills to handle clients and providers/suppliers at a high level.

? Keen ability to adhere to deadlines.

? Flexible approach to time management that suits an ad-hoc project environment.

? Team player.
