Online Operations Associate, Customer Insights - Mountain View


This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

Google's Customer Analytics group (formerly Market Research department) seeks passionate and analytical market research analyst. The ideal candidate is data-driven and willing to learn new skills and grow with the environment.

Responsibilities:Working with the Corporate Marketing, Sales, and Product Support groups to drive projects such as:
Defining and implementing a customer communications strategy.
Determining ROI on advertising expenditures.
Defining market research studies to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behavior.
Developing collateral that optimally positions the strengths of our products.
Supporting quantitative survey data analysis.
Working with syndicated vendors to provide market share tracking.
Supporting competitive analysis and maintaining competitive dashboard.
Working with global research firms and other suppliers, managing quantitative and qualitative studies, collecting and presenting data and analyses to address key business needs.
Requirements:BA or BS in market research, marketing, psychology, statistics, math, computer science, physics or other related field.
Excellent quantitative skills, some experience in collecting survey data and analyzing data in Excel.
Some familiarity with statistical data analysis (e.g., regression, factor analysis, and multivariate analysis) in either academic coursework or project/work experience. Experience using statistical tools such as SPSS or SAS a plus.
Some experience in analyzing customer database data. SQL skills a plus.
2 years of research or business analysis experience (academic or work).
Proven history of self-direction, creativity, extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple mission-critical projects simultaneously; able to meet deadlines.
Excellent presentation and writing skills a must (subject to testing).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
