Successful candidates will have at least seven years professional experience and a record of taking initiative and managing small teams. Strong critical-thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and superior writing ability are a must. We need people who can design and implement a product launch or create an innovative program to educate the public about a complex issue.

Google's Global Communications and Public Affairs organization is a fast-paced team with audiences including users, partners, shareholders, employees, critics and friends from around the world. The team helps launch all of Google's technical innovations and products to the world, as well as managing communications and strategy for critical public issues, ranging from corporate responsibility to privacy rights to worldwide operations. Boredom is not our stock in trade.

Responsibility:Design and implement initiatives to communicate Google?s key messages to media and industry analysts worldwide.
Manage media relations related to legal, policy, product and other corporate issues.
Represent Google as a company spokesperson and front-line point of communication to our partners, customers, media, shareholders, and the financial and global communities.
Manage a broad range of board-related and regulatory communications.
Assess and anticipate risks to Google?s reputation and brand.
Prepare written materials, including press releases, Q&As, executive presentations and speeches, etc.
Manage a small team of highly talented professionals.
Work closely with key business partners both within and outside the company, including Google?s executives and founders, and key functional leaders.
Requirements:Minimum Bachelor's degree; post-graduate or professional degrees preferred.
Minimum 7 to 10 years professional experience.
Proven communicator ? verbal and written.
Effective team player who can lead efforts across disciplines.
Capable of working calmly and quickly in high-stress environments.
Foreign language capability preferred.
