Demonstrated portfolio of work required (please be prepared to show examples of websites and print materials). Must be a motivated individual with good communication, organization and time management skills. Must have the ability to take a project from conception to completion with little oversight.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Creation and updating of company graphics & page layout for major contract proposals, brochures, pamphlets, presentation charts & illustrations and ad development/campaigns. Position will be involved in the development process to produce & interpret concepts; prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material; determine size & arrangement of illustrative material & copy; select style & size of type; suggest improvements as needed; and create sample layouts. Will present samples & final layouts to supervisor or client for selection & approval. Also responsible to review new graphics tools and make recommendations as to their applicability; maintain image resource files; and coordinate with outside suppliers/vendors for products not produced in house.

Required Skills:

B.S. Degree plus 6 year experience or M.S. Degree and 4 years experience; AND demonstrated strong technical skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design software; graphics software, page layout software, and specialized graphic equipment. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Quark XPress, Frontpage, Pagemaker, Illustrator, PowerPoint and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with digital file formats (tiff, gif, eps, pdf, jpg) and a comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles and production methods are also needed. Additionally, candidates must possess basic knowledge of black-and-white and color photographic processes, and conventional and digital print processes. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, ad copy and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be able to multi-task, work in a collaborative environment and meet established production deadlines.
