Healthcare Account Director

closerlook?s Healthcare Account Director will align his/her marketing communications expertise and deep pharma/life sciences experience with proficiency in client management, planning and account development to enhance our Client Services. Reporting to the Vice President of Client Services, the Healthcare Account Director provides overall account growth and management, account team leadership, thought leadership and business strategy for the client?s business. 

 

Role Summary

Client Management

?  Oversee all account activities to ensure client needs are met

?  Become a strategic partner with clients by delivering measurable results and solutions

?  Leverage closerlook resources and best practices to deliver fully integrated services

?  Maintain long-term relationships with key clients, even through inactive periods

?  Continually collect and disseminate market and competitive intelligence

?  Partner with Account Managers to develop client value adds

 

Planning

?  Develop annual account plans and forecast to document opportunities within key accounts and define approaches for realizing them

?  Organize and run weekly key account status meetings

 

Account Development

?  Develop and sustain senior management and key decision maker relationships

?  Develop deep understanding of client?s industry, trends, influencers, competitors, key players, and key financial and operating metrics

?  Understand client?s current business objectives, goals, and strategies, and have the ability to uncover challenges and opportunities

?  Understand client?s internal political landscape including change agents and incentive structures for key decision makers

?  Grow assigned account revenue by 20% annually

 

Education

?  Bachelors degree required

?  Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications or MBA preferred

?  R.Ph. or degree in life sciences a plus

 

Demonstrated Experience

?  6+ years of experience servicing Pharmaceutical/Life Science Accounts

?  Experience working within a healthcare agency

?  2+ years of account development experience with proven ability to identify opportunities, propose solutions and close business within the account

?  Strong account growth and relationship building skills

?  Ability to oversee existing projects to ensure client needs are met

?  Ability to become a trusted advisor with clients by delivering measurable results and solutions

?  Maintain long-term relationships with key client accounts

?  Strong understanding of Marketing Communications

?  Ability to direct and guide closerlook teams efforts in support of key accounts

?  Budget Management experience in the range of $600K-$2MM

?  Solid business writing skills and proposal development experience

?  Proven facilitation and presentation skills

?  Negotiation skills
