Insight Strategist

Carat USA, Inc. is an independent media buying, planning, and research company. 

 

We have an immediate opening in our New York office for a Strategist to work on our Insight team. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

?  Account-Specific Role

?  Provide research direction, guidance and support to Client Service teams

?  Marketing Landscape

?  Targeting

?  Strategy

?  Perspective

?  Advise on target development and work with account groups to find and analyze appropriate research sources

?  Liaise with client researchers and vendors

?  Aid in developing custom research

?  Add strategic insight into the development of media plans and decks

?  Take ownership of appropriate sections (e.g. target development)

?  Ensure that planning strategies are in alignment with media goals

?  Provide research training and knowledge to clients, planners and assistant planners

?  Receive guidance and oversight from Directors and Associate Directors as needed

?  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

?  General Insight Role

?  Assist in the development of tools, techniques and procedures leading to more strategic, more insight-based media plans

?  Write Insight releases (one sheets, white papers, etc.)

?  Participate in department initiatives including Areas of Interest, Lunch & Learns, Insight Fortnights, etc.

?  Participate in new business pitches

?  Participate in industry forums

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

?  5+ years experience in media planning, media research, consumer research, marketing and/or account planning

?  Excellent communication and supervisory skills:  presenting, teaching, writing

?  Excellent computer skills  - Microsoft Office, search tools

?  Strong working knowledge of media research terminology and tools ? crosstab, r/f, etc.

?  Work well in a team

?  Have a broad marketing perspective

?  Be extremely detail-oriented and have a facility with numbers and formulae

?  Be authoritative, confident and have a professional demeanor

?  Be intellectual, curious and analytical

?  Have an interest in advertising, sociology or psychology
