Intern

Description: RSA Security is looking for an intern in its event marketing team for the RSA Conference, the largest information security conference in the world. The intern would be involved in a variety of projects leading up to the Conference, to be held in the Moscone Convention Center, San Francisco in February 2007. Projects would include research on specific topics or people (including web searching, literature reviews and interviews) relevant to the security industry. The intern would also be responsible for summarizing and analyzing vast quantities of information in oral and written form, and creating marketing and positioning messages to enhance the RSA Conference brand. All activities would be in preparation for the next year's Conference, and there would be a wide variety of discrete projects for which the intern would have responsibilty. The intern will work in close proximity to the marketing AVP and other senior members of the marketing team at RSA Security's San Mateo office location. Qualifications:
The intern would need to be a poised, confident, professional, "can-do" self starter who can stake out areas in which to take personal responsibility. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills will help get the job done easier. A strong writing skill (for reports, marketing collateral, slides, etc.) and an ability to interview subjects and analyze primary and secondary data to present actionable information are important. Prior knowledge of the high tech/event industry would be useful. Strong understanding and use of MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint a must.

The ideal candidate would be studying towards a Business, PR or Marketing degree or a recent graduate.
