Internal Communications Specialist

Responsibilities:
The candidate will report to the Senior P.R. Consultant and collaborate to implement internal communications activities for groups within Genentech?s Product Development organization as well as other business partner groups as appropriate. He/she will partner in the development of strategic organizational communications programs and execute tactics that will inform and align employees, enhance senior management visibility and further develop an open exchange of ideas to and from employees at all levels. The candidate will establish and maintain communications channels, including electronic, print, face to face and related processes. He/she will write content for internal publication. The candidate will coordinate and prepare presentations for senior leaders. He/she will measure communication plans, messages and tactics, as well as provide recommendations for improved results. The candidate will provide support for Internal Communications and Corporate Relations projects and perform special communication projects as needed.

Requirements:
A Bachelor?s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or a related field is required. The candidate must be results-oriented and professional, with at least three years of experience in communications, preferably internal/employee communications. He/she must possess superior written communication and interpersonal skills. A keen attention to detail is essential. The ability to coordinate and participate in numerous projects in a fast-paced environment, in an organized manner, while meeting deadlines is required. The candidate must possess advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.
