Internal Corporate Communications Associate


Location: 700 Sylvan Englewood Cliffs, NJ

 

Position Summary:


This position is responsible for on-going development and execution of the key internal communication channels ? www.unileverusa.com, Unilever US portal, email distribution, etc. The position will work closely with other members of the Communications team, the Continuous Improvement team and Human Resources to improve the effectiveness of internal communications throughout the organization.

 

Position Responsibilities:


?  Help develop and execute company-wide internal strategic communication plans that support the business agenda and set the tone for the rest of the organization
?  Track feedback and measure effectiveness of portal communications on an ongoing basis
?  Help plan and execute company communication programs and campaigns such as Birthday Breakfasts, Did you Know?/Lunch & Learn Sessions and other employee forums as well as communication cascades
?  Primary role is to manage the internal distribution of organizational announcements via email and portal communications efforts, including infrastructure development and maintenance with proper internal  IT support
?  Partner with Communications Business Partners to ensure that all communications vehicles and messages are aligned with overall business messages
?  Participate in Unilever brand management activities with the Communications team
?  Support the Communications Business Partner responsible for the External Website in creating joint messages, strategies, etc and assist in development and execution of www.unileverusa.com website

 

Scope:


The role is required to manage Unilever NA?s primary internal communications channel as well as effectively support the implementation of other company-wide internal communications initiatives.

 

Education:  BA in Communications or related field preferred

 

Experience:  At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in internal and online communications, including developing and executing internal communication strategies and tactics and designing and implementing company-wide communication events and opportunities; Strong background in business/corporate communications environment or public relations agency experience a plus.

 

Skills: Communication Strategy Development and Planning, Project Management, Change Management, Strong oral and written skills, Ability to Build Relationships, Experience with Various Desktop Tools, including Publishing and/or Content Management Applications
