Internet Marketing Director (Internet Retail)
We are seeking a motivated & passionate Marketing Director.
Job Purpose:
Builds e-commerce market position by discovering and developing sponsorships, partnerships, and strategic alliances; defines multichannel marketing strategy. Web channels include Internet CPC, sponsorships, industry websites, etc. Other channels include catalog, industry magazine advertising, promotional products, etc.
Abilities & Skills
* Study & analyze our industry.
* Interpret web analytics & implement an action plan from the data. You may use WebTrends, Coremetrics, Omniture, WebSideStory, etc.
* Implement search engine optimization & marketing strategies
* Superior ability to write good ad copy
* Implement e-mail marketing campaigns
* Implement multichannel marketing strategy. Web, print, multimedia, etc.
* Create new marketing programs: loyalty/incentive programs, affiliate marketing, etc.
* Print advertising & catalog management
* Create strategic merchandising partnerships with Vendors
* Evaluate & create web & sales, promotions, etc.
Duties:
* Identifies e-commerce trends by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. (You keep up with DMA, Catalog Age, Shop.org, Internet Retailer, etc.)
* Identifies e-commerce opportunities by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring business alliances.
* Screens & prioritizes marketing projects by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
* Develops campaigns & strategies studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials of projects.
* Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
* Implements internet marketing strategy by defining all e-commerce content, products and services; managing all external e-commerce sites, programs and promotions.
