Position Summary:

The Internet Product Manager is responsible for driving growth of existing and new product initiatives. The PM will work cross-functionally with Business Development, Engineering, Finance and other teams to develop and manage web-based products and services.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

? Analyze the external marketplace, customers, vendors and competitors to determine market requirements for new products and product enhancements

? Conceptualize and initiate ideas and improvements for Internet-based products

? Create specific business case objectives and develop the appropriate plan to achieve targeted results

? Define and write product requirements and functional specifications that articulate business objectives for new products or major enhancements to existing products

? Negotiate timelines, scope and features with internal/external stakeholders

? Collaborate with cross functional departments, executives and external partners to manage and deliver all projects on time and within budget; balance product requirements and market impact against time to market and project risks

? Ensure the quality of the product through the development of use cases, test cases, SLA?s, end-user testing and other success metrics/functions

? Manage change effectively within a dynamic, flexible (?agile?) product development environment

? Develop and execute product and marketing plans that drive the growth and adoption of products post launch

? Participates in the development of the corporate marketing roadmap

? Respond to and develop proposals

Skills:

? Able to conduct market research and translate information into business cases and product initiatives

? Thorough understanding of standard and agile product development processes

? Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

? Ability to manage cross-functional teams and to own the success or failure of product initiatives

 

? Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at once

? Solid organizational and time management skills

? Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

? Ability to quickly and effectively change focus in a rapidly evolving environment and work well in a team environment

? Ability to effectively present product information to large audiences and respond to questions from group

? Thorough understanding of SEO/SEM

? Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, planning and reporting

 

Strong Plus:

? User interface design and information architecture experience

? Ability to develop rapid UI prototypes

 

Essential Qualifications:

? Must have developed/managed Internet products

? BA/BS (preferably in technology, marketing, or a related field); MBA preferred

? 5+ years experience in product management in internet or software companies
