Internet Sales Manager

General

 

This highly professional and motivated leader will manage a group of 2 ? 3 Internet Sales Representatives.  The job will focus on developing and implementing strategies to exceed sales goals for the internet sales department.

 

Person will have authority over day-to-day management and process tactics in order to achieve the functions goals.  The position reports to the Director of Sales and has interaction with the General Manager, Marketing Manager and Controller.

 

Specific Responsibilties

 

The specific responsibilities of this position are as follows:

 

? Manages the day-to-day running of the Internet Sales function

? Deals with issues regarding order processing, artwork & graphics, Customer issues and opportunities and sales strategy

? Holds Internet Sales Reps accountable to sales goals and other key performance indicators.

 

? Develops/Enhances/Improves sales systems including Goldmine (CRM software) planning, execution and tracking as well as Quoting & Order Entry systems.

? Works to develop a sales and marketing process through Goldmine which identifies sales sources, categorizes sales opportunities and sales process stages, and ensures consistent customer follow up before and after a sale is made

? Monitor and evaluate sales activity through Goldmine to ensure targeted activities are being accomplished and to discover and evaluate possible trends and activity relationships that may benefit the sales strategy

 

? Manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC) programs, including:

?  Maintain top rankings for website across industry-specific keywords

? Create landing pages for PPC campaigns and track results

? Report and analyze PPC and organic search traffic/campaigns related ROI

? Maintain current keyword list for all products and investigate new terms for use in SEO campaigns

 

? Coordinate email marketing and post-sale electronic communication, including:

? Working with in-house creative team to design and implement email campaigns

? Using web reporting tools to benchmark and measure email campaign results

? Identify opportunities to grow subscriber lists

? Ensure email campaigns are scheduled and sent on time

 

? Handles all marketing activities related to the website, including:

? Coordinate updates/changes to the website content such as product descriptions, information, pictures and pricing

? Work with in-house creative team to design promotions for increasing traffic and conversions on the site

? Use web reporting tools to track key performance indicators and online marketing activities

? Analyze reports and implement changes to the site to improve conversion rates (visitors to leads) and increase returning customer rates

 

? Develops/Maintains/Updates a formal Internet Sales Training process and documentation for new hire and existing Internet Sales Representatives.
