Summary:



 

Assist Head of Investor Relations for Independence Capital Partners? Family of Funds to manage investor needs and expectations.  Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, reporting ? capital account statements, institutional investor requests and K-1 confirmations; servicing ? capital calls, fund distributions and correspondence mailings;  fundraising ? processing and reviewing of fund subscription documents, fund closings and investor due diligence; maintenance ? assist in the maintenance of the investor database and compliance. Join forces with the Head of Investor Relations in an effort to build a world-class investor relations/servicing group with the ultimate goal of matching excellent fund performance with excellent service to our investors.

 

This position will entail financial analysis, research, interaction with current and prospective investors, and the creation of reporting and marketing documents.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



 

GENERALPromote success of firm by providing excellent investor reporting. Attend Fund meetings.Assist with preparation of special investor projects Oversee all aspects related to the firm?s limited partners meeting including drafting presentation materials, organizing and communicating with speakers and attendees and assuming responsibility for all planning and logistics for the event.

 

REPORTINGPreparation of Investors? consultants? reports on a quarterly basis.Manage the integrity of the mark to market process and reporting.Preparation of Investors? quarterly reports, contribution and distribution schedules and historical records for investors.Preparation of year end K-1 confirmations. Documenting, communication and coordinating the reporting needs of investors.Coordination and communication to fund controllers the quarterly and annually the required ad-hoc reporting needs of investors. Prepare annual ICP investor reporting, one document with all ICP fund holdings below separates with analytics by fund. Develop a lead role in drafting and updating investor presentations including updates on current investment activities, detailed portfolio company summary analyses, management discussion and analyses which accompany fund financial statements, fund level advisory board presentations, press related to new investments, monetizations, and or other significant firm activities, and other communications to the firm?s investors and or to the broader investment community. Create investment performance models that provide information on returns for investors. 

 

SERVICING Point of contact for investor questions or concerns and to resolve any issues in a timely manner.Monitor OFAC compliance (Patriot Act). Assist in the preparation of an institutional quality data room to facilitate current and prospective investors? due diligence requirements.Draft initial responses to prospective investor questionnaires.Coordinate the Fund Capital Call ProcessesCoordinate the Fund Distribution Processes

 

  FUNDRAISINGInvolved in the PPM and LP agreement process of new funds. Introduce a best practices/current trends to the PPM and partnership agreement process.Initial communications to our targeted existing limited partners regarding new funds and investment opportunities.Identify potential new investors.Responding to investors and potential new investors during the subscription document process.Reviewing completed subscription documents for accuracy. Coordinate legal counsel review and follow-up.Resolving and investor/potential investors questions/concerns during the subscription documents process.Coordinating round closes with legal counsel and the respective fund controller.

 

MAINTENANCEMaintain a single database of all investors, allocated a unique investor code for tracking and tax purposes, to provide consolidated ICP reporting to investors.Coordinate investor transfers/name changes/address changes/wiring changes/contact changes with legal counsel and fund controllers.Track investors? contact information.Oversee all aspects related to the firm?s limited partners meeting including drafting presentation materials, organizing and communicating with speakers and attendees and assuming responsibility for all planning and logistics for the event.

 

Qualifications/Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

 Strong written and verbal communication skills.Good organizational skills and attention to details.Strong analytics.Ability to work well and develop strong relationships with external and internal groups.

? Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Access, Word and Intralinks.Ability to work overtime as needed. Motivated self-starter and team player who can function in an entrepreneurial atmosphere with minimal supervision.Keen sense of urgency, a high degree of responsiveness and follow-through.Strong people skills and the ability to handle sensitive information.

 

Education / Experience:

 Bachelors Degree

 Experience with real estate investments.

 Experience as a financial analyst at a leading financial institution or consulting firm.

 Experience preparing and reviewing quarterly reports.
