Jr. Desktop Publisher/Graphic Artist

Job Summary:

 

Produces publication-ready materials and electronic presentations by preparing and formatting text and graphics using computer software.  Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts.

 

Responsibilities:

 

? Evaluates space requirements, type size and style, spacing, and graphics.

? Prepares layout by keying, importing graphics and copying text.

? Prepares electronic presentations by entering text and graphics (such as, art, photographs, charts, tables, and graphs).

? Obtains project approval by submitting completed design and layout; reviewing and implementing changes.

? Initiates production by transmitting or copying and forwarding files.

? Prepares internet-ready format by converting text and graphics into appropriate language, such as, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).

? Maintains historical records by filing and retrieving files.

? Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

? Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.

? Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Qualification:

 3 to 5 years experience Desktop Publisher & Graphic DesignDemonstrated strong organization and attention to detail skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to meet deadlines.They must be able to follow directions and implement quickly. Computer literate with experience with Desktop Publishing Tools, Mac based Platform, Adobe, PowerPoint, In Design, HTML, Photoshop.  HS Graduate, with college or trade school experience.
