Junior Account Manager (PR)

Overall Purpose Statement
To help implement high quality public relations (and marketing communications) programmes for clients.


Description of roles & relationships 
The position reports to the senior account manager and is a member of the PR team.  You will also work closely with the UK based PR team.

The account manager works with the Regional VP on the management/direction of an account executive.


External relationships 
The position involves relationships with:
? Write Image?s existing and potential clients
? Journalists
? Suppliers to Write Image

 

List of duties & tasks 
Generate great coverage for our clients
? Help develop and implement innovative and creative public relations plans for your clients
? Generate coverage for clients in target publications
? Prepare the production of public relations material including press releases, feature articles
? Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and editors in target publications
? Monitor wires, feature lists and relevant publications for opportunities for coverage for clients

 

Deliver quality customer service and value for money
? Develop and maintain client relationships with allocated accounts (PR) with your manager
? Maintain your understanding of your client?s business and their customers
? Meet agreed client deadlines and proactively manage client expectations and delivery
? Meet agreed Write Image and client reporting requirements usually monthly including budget status as appropriate
? Arrange and attend regular work in progress calls and/or meetings
? Work with your manager and team to ensure clients are invoiced appropriately and on time for retainers and projects
? Know how much time is allocated to each client and project and monitor

 

Comply with Write Image internal procedures
? Act as an ambassador for Write Image at all times
? Understand and adhere to Write Image IT and support procedures including timesheets, virus scanning, leave notification and punctuality requirements.

 

Management of an Junior Account Executive
? Delegate as appropriate
? Performance manage in order to develop

 

Personal development
? Work with your manager to identify opportunities for personal development
? Identify and attend appropriate training courses
? Participate in team and company activities

Person Specification
? Degree level qualification and/or relevant industry experience
? A minimum of three years experience in a PR role, with at least the last 2 years in a B2B role
? Good working knowledge of MS Office
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
? Energetic and enthusiastic approach
? Organised, proactive with excellent attention to detail
? Experienced team player
? Experience of staff management desirable, but not essential
? Interest/experience in financial services/technology sector
