Junior Marketing-Circulation Analyst

SUMMARY: The Circulation Analyst will assist the Direct Marketing Manager with the functional duties required to select, analyze, mail and report on circulation initiatives.  Duties include forecasting segment performance, marketing costs, and marketing demand.  The Circulation Analyst will support the implementation of circulation strategies as directed by the Direct Marketing Manager ensuring that the selection and reporting are accurate and meet circulation objectives. This position requires working with list production, outside vendors and partners to ensure timely execution of circulation and analytical activities. This position is also required to work effectively with departments outside of Marketing.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

 

? Maintain reports that summarize key performance metrics on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.

o  Segment performance update.

o  Sales curves.

o  Daily Orders and Demand by mailing.

o  Testing Analysis by mailing.

o  List Performance Index by mailing.

o  Postal History by mailing.

o  Trace Report Comparison.

?  Coordinate and implement all aspects of the circulation schedule by drop including, but not limited to;

o  Maintaining catalog schedule.

o  Merge/Purge Process set up and checks.

o  Regulate CAPS Account.

o  Maintain MACS input ? action chains, offers, source codes, P&H tables, discount tables and discount codes.

o  Create Circulation instructions (front and back end).

o  Execute list selections for mailings.

o  Track vendor activities ensuring due dates are met.

? Forecast & Analyze File inventory and demand adjusting plans as needed.

o  Monitor and adjust catalog fulfillment.

o  Oversee sales, loose bulk, and corporate office catalog inventory and archiving.

o  Maintain order forecast.

? Support the Direct Marketing Manager with circulation duties including but not limited to;

o  Process & track vendor invoices.

o  Maintaining binders.

o  Contact with vendors.

o  Distribution of catalogs to staff.



 



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor?s degree (B.A/S.) in Business; plus as least 2 years business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures with conformance to the prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from government entities, employees, managers, clients, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with generally accepted accounting procedures, balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, occasionally in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

? Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
