Lead Analyst/Manager

As a Lead Analyst/Manager, Customer & Market Insights, you will make expert use of a range of complex medical pharmaceutical marketing intelligence tools (both quantitative and qualitative), and primary research models, integrates disparate intelligence into comprehensive analyses towards strategic/tactical recommendations for action in guiding product commercial optimization. Outputs include extensive therapeutic market potential/product opportunity and performance evaluations, written diagnostic reports and research results, presentations to commercial teams, Senior Management, Marketing, Sales, etc. You will identify, design and implement appropriate and integrated programs of market research in support of promoted products, on time, within budget and deriving optimum value through negotiation with multiple suppliers and vendors. You will proactively review literature, on-line services and current information/data to update continuously the strategic vision for the business by staying abreast of current and future competitive situations. You will advise Management of these competitive threats in the marketplace, with timely dissemination of information regarding all pertinent market and industry events to appropriate personnel. You will develop, maintain and continuously improve upon the Best Practices in market research and with colleagues within customer and Market Insights. You will effectively seek, communicate and encourage these practices across all activities and interactions with colleagues in Customer and Market Insights, Marketing, Planning and partner collaboration and activities with suppliers and local operating companies. You will act as an internal consultant and information-provider to the commercial "Insights Partner", Therapeutic and Product Teams and as a professional skills expert in market research methodologies and knowledge of the Therapeutic markets. Through peer-group and/or collegial interactions, you will mentor and coach fellow members of Customer and Market Insights, Commercial Teams and Market Research staff to enhance their development and departmental value.

This position requires a BS/BA with a minimum of 7 years marketing research experience with a manufacturer, supplier, consultant, or equivalent; MBA preferred. Formal training on the theory and practice of a wide range of primary research methodologies is required. Must have fundamental understanding of the tools and techniques for forecasting and model building. Must have the following skills/abilities: Demonstrated experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies; Demonstrated project management skills; Demonstrated experience in interpreting business information into actionable insights; Excellent communication skills; Strong presentation skills; Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team; Able to interact with all levels of an organization; Strong desktop computing skills; familiarity with online searching and data analysis tools; familiarity with biomedical/drug terminology.
