Licensing Associate

We are staffing for a local client in the Chevy Chase area in need of a Licensing Associate:

Reporting to the Vice President, Licensing, this is an associate level position responsible for the organization, marketing, and support of licensing program(s). Includes direct responsibility for understanding the applicable License(s) and signing up royalty-paying Licensees. The Associate must understand the activities, responsibilities, and interactions of the Licensing Department to achieve departmental and company goals and deliver the highest level of customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

? Educate potential Licensees (and others) regarding the applicable License(s) and sign them up.
? Enhance customer relations, providing communications and support
? Maintain public and professional relations and awareness
? Represent company at meetings and exhibitions.
? Assist with the design and production of promotional materials.
? Research, analysis and record keeping of potential licensees, market, technology and business conditions. Record and maintain (and produce reporting from) records in company database
? Administrative and other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

College degree (B.A. or B.S.), professional school or paralegal degree with record of academic achievement is evidence of the level of technical knowledge required. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft business applications, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; well-developed written and oral communications, organization, research, problem-solving, interpersonal and judgment skills. Willingness to travel and work long hours as needed. Must possess a valid passport. Ability to work under limited supervision, tight timelines and with diverse, rapidly changing issues both novel and mundane for which positive attitude, ingenuity, on-the-job learning and hard work are principal guides. Attention to detail, follow-up, customer needs, prompt response and project completion a must. Discretion and cooperation in dealing with people at all levels inside and outside the Company. Comfort with, interest in and aptitude for legal and technical terms and concepts is important. Multi-lingual ability a plus.

Recent college graduate with 2 to 3 years experience.
