MAC Artist - Direct Marketing

The MAC Artist is responsible for the computer and/or traditional execution of finished print material under the supervision of an AD or Production Manager. Depending on department requirements and personal aptitude, assignments will vary from finished art preparation to creation of original material.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

? Prepare computer disks and/or traditional mechanicals (?keylines?) used to produce print advertising and direct mail

? Work from rough drafts or instructions to prepare comprehensive layouts.

? Mat, clean, and mount layouts and finished art.

? Maintain computer files as well as hard copy files of artwork, mechanicals, proofs, etc.

? Specify type styles and sizes for printed matter with approval of AD (Production Manager).

? Assist the AD in all facets of project development

? Be knowledgeable and proficient in emerging computer tools and techniques with advertising and/or graphics applications. Actively share such knowledge with others in the creative department.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

?BA/BS or 3-5 years of commensurate experience, ideally in the graphic arts industry.

?Proven ability to complete assignments on time and follow instructions.

?Graphic standards are maintained or exceeded in all work.

?Relationships with co-workers are harmonious and productive.

? Has authority commensurate with the operating responsibilities and latitude authorized by project supervisors.
