MARKETING PROJECT MANAGER

Responsibilities:

 

The Marketing Project Manager would be responsible for the execution and coordination of various marketing programs including trade shows, workshops, research projects, speaking engagements, special promotions, etc.  This involves setting up timelines and execution plans for marketing projects as well as other projects that may span across multiple departments.

 

The primary duties of this role include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Request for proposals (RFP)

? Write and proof RFP responses

? Write tailored proposals when required

? Write marketing letters (pitch letters, direct mail materials)

 

Press Releases

? Write Press Releases

? Prepare and schedule mailings with the Director of Marketing

? Update the press list regularly

? Research new publications specific to targeted industries

 

HR Service Excellence Award

? Work with IT and Director of Marketing to design the Extranet for 2005 year award

? Process all registrations

? Extract Data and assemble the reports

 

Research Projects

? Excellent Internet research skills

? Write feature articles

? Ability to organize and report findings in a clear concise manner; must be able to present narrative of findings in organized format, e.g. Memo, Excel.

 

Sales Support/Presentations

? Create and proof all sales presentations in PowerPoint

? Assist with the development and coordination of sales blitz campaigns

 

Trade Show/Speaking Engagement/Special Event Coordination

? Evaluation of Trade Shows

? Coordination of Materials Needed for Events

? Assistance with the Preparation of Presentations for Various Engagements including Sales Presentations, Speaking Engagements, etc.

? Management of Event schedule

 

Tracking

? Tracking of promotional results

? Monthly reporting of project status

 

Other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Marketing

 

Skills/Abilities:

? Exceptional writing skills (grammar, organization)

? Detail-oriented

? Creative problem solving skills

? Ability to multi-task (i.e., manage multiple projects and tasks, and cope with changing priorities).

? Ability to work and think independently

? Quick learner

 

Computer Skills/Requirements:

? Word Processing and MS Word

? MS Excel, PowerPoint

? MS Outlook Express

? MS Access ? strong skills in query design and/or data manipulation

 

Education/Experience:

? Bachelors Degree in marketing or other business field required

? Minimum of 5 years experience in a marketing role

? Writing samples will be requested upon interview
