MEDIA BUYER

Position Summary:
? Supports management and provides reviews of media proposals, media recommendations and facilitates in-house media buys.
? Work with outside agency to facilitate media buys.
? Work with the traffic vendor, ensuring tapes/creative for media buys are properly distributed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
? Plan and place approved buys for Direct Response TV, both short form and long form.
? Research media options and write proposals.
? Create cost sheets and perform post-buy analysis for media buys.
? Prepare billing and tracking of media costs.
? Trafficking of TV Spots.

Job Specifications:
Education / Experience
? Qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Business with 3-5 years experience or equivalent of 5 years experience in media buying for an advertising agency or corporate setting.
Organization / Communication Skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines.
? Excellent personal organizational skills.
Special Skills and Knowledge
? In-depth understanding of direct response/lead generation process.
? Strong presentation skills required.
? Good team-working skills are essential.
? Solution oriented.
Computer Skills
? Solid knowledge of personal computer software applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint are vital to the success of this position. CORE media program knowledge preferred.
