Job Function ?
The Multicultural Marketing Manager will focus primarily on advertising, promotions, sponsorships, and local marketing that touch the Hispanic, Asian, and African American segments.? This position will also conduct research with relevant consumer groups and leads the decision and insights generation process.? He/she also supports the brand team as it seeks to develop a more inclusive and multicultural sensibility across all market communication and programming.? This position also requires strong management of agencies, alignment with Capital One brand positioning, brand analyses and the ability to influence key stakeholders.? The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, budgeting skills, analytical abilities, creative skills, and a successful track record in marketing to multicultural segments.

Job Responsibilities ?
40 %? Develop multicultural strategies, marketing and business plans that lead to profitable growth for the different business units.

20%? Provide business and marketing analyses in support of the multicultural strategies and plans.

10%? Work closely with multicultural agencies to develop advertising and programs that are relevant to drive the growth of our brand.

10%? Manage and develop all creative needs for all multicultural programs.

10%? Use marketing research and insights to develop programs/products that will resonate with targeted consumers to drive revenue and profit growth.

10%? Interface closely with marketing research marketing services, media planning, local marketing, and business units to develop impactful programs.

5%?? Negotiate and effectively manage agency agreements and other contracts

5%?? Ensure budget and fiscal compliance

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Skills:
Education and Related Experience ?
?? College degree; MBA preferred.
?? 8-10 years marketing experience in consumer pkgd goods, retail or financial services. Experience should include the following:
?? Financial services experience preferred
?? 5+ years of multicultural marketing experience, preferably in a marketing driven company
?? Cross-functional experience
?? Managing creative and media through multicultural ad agencies
?? Brand architecture, brand positioning, brand values, and SWOT analyses
?? Marketing research and consumer insight groups
?? Developing brand strategies and plans that deliver both topline and bottomline growth
?? Supervisory/Management experience with a proven track record.

Skills and Abilities
?? Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
?? Possesses superior presentation and communication skills
?? Project management and multi-tasking
?? Superior strategic thinking and leadership skills
?? Independent and self-motivated
?? Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
?? Strong analytical skills
?? Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements ?
? Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
? Ability to operate a keyboard if required performing the essential job functions.
? Ability to read and interpret a document.
? Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.?
