Manager Advertising & Promotion

The primary objective of the Manager, Advertising & Production is to ensure proper resources are aligned to the commercial teams in order to facilitate the review and approval of promotional material for PPD. Manage a staff of up to 10 direct reports. Provide guidance to franchises and agencies that is on strategy with marketing and budget plan, while maintaining an unbiased balance between promotional and compliance issues. Drive special projects and ensure efficiency of timely review, development and delivery of marketing and training materials.

Qualifications
Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP) specifically, regulations and standards affecting the promotion of sales and marketing materials/samples and interactions with healthcare professionals including DDMAC, HIPPA and Program Funding Guidelines as they relate to the Medical/Regulatory approval process for all materials (print, radio, TV, electronic media, internet) produced and distributed for use to promote drug products
Minimum qualifications: Candidates must possess 6-8 years of pharmaceutical sales and/or advertising, production and promotional experience. Preferred knowledge and experience with one of Abbott's Business Franchises, marketing/communication/agency experience. Preferred managerial experience of exempt personnel in fast-paced, service/team environment. Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required. Should have strong problem solving abilities in complex, compliance regulated department.
B.A./B.S./Business, Communications or Advertising (MBA not required, but desirable) or equivalent business experience within Abbott or a related industry.
