Manager, Business Development

 

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), an alliance of twenty of the world?s leading cancer centers, is seeking a motivated, experienced business development professional.  In this role, the successful candidate will work with the Vice President, Business Development to provide communications, nurture relationships, and identify potential sponsors.  This position requires occasional overnight travel. 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Work with VP Business Development to identify new sources of funding.Visit potential NCCN funding sources.Provide on-going updates to sponsors of NCCN programs.Manage revenue forecast.Nurture relationships with funding sources. Manage project timelines.Assist in development and reconciliation of meeting budgets.Provide post-activity analysis and detailed reports.Participate in NCCN exhibit booth at professional conferences.Liaison with Marketing Manager on fulfilling requests for funded projects.Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

 

EDUCATION/RELATED EXPERIENCE:

 BA/BS with 2-3 years experience within the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent required.  MBA Preferred3+ years experience with a medical education, advertising agency or non-profit organization in client services.

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 Proficient in MS Office products, specifically excel.Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external staff and managers at various levels.Exceptional problem-solving skills.Organizational ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Absolute attention to detail.Customer service/client service orientation.Outstanding follow-up.High level of professionalism.
